Georgian Entertainment This Week!

Start the Week off Right – It’s Happy Hour! Sun-Wed 4-6PM!  Start the weekend off right – relax on the Patio here at the Georgian Thursday night with music by Spellbound 5:30 – 9:30 then the Village Fireworks at 9:30PM.  Friday evening features Lyl Harper – with awesome Caribbean Music 5-9PM then Spellbound in Giovanna’s at 8PM.   Enjoy John Eisenhart on the Patio Saturday 5-9PM, then come inside Giovanna’s for Bobby Dick at 8PM.  Visit the Georgian Entertainment Page for more info on our artists.  Sunday on the Patio – Chuck Kelsey and our new Happy Hour.

Shepard Park Music & Entertainment!

There is lots more music and entertainment  just a short walk from the Georgian in the Bandstand at  Shepard Park.  Coming up this week is Magical Musical Mondays – 7:00 PM ~ Live music, magicians, jugglers & bounce houses.  7:30 Wed – Free Concert! Brave Combo-America’s Premier Dance band – From Denton, Texas, this two-time Grammy Award winning band is a tex-Mex, rocking polka band which will take you on a rollicking journey.   On Friday 7 PM ~ “Blue Night” – Featuring the WINNER of the Capital Region Blues Network Showdown  Lake George Arts Project.

This is a great week with lots of events and attractions to help you enjoy your week.  On Wednesday – take advantage of the Lake George Association’s Floating Classroom.  Either 10AM-12 Noon or 1PM – 3PM.  This is a great lake science education program for kids and adults.  Reservations are required – call 518-668-3558 or register online – visit their website for more information.
This weekend Saturday at the Village Docks off Beach Road – Lake George Rendezvous Antique & Classic Boat Show 10AM-4PM.
Fort Ticonderoga has opened their Corn Maze – plenty to see at the Fort and this is great fun for kids!  Don’t miss the King’s Garden at the Fort – awesome!  Visit their website for more information.

Saratoga Horse Racing!

Visit Saratoga Race Track for more information, and schedule.  Friday Kids can enjoy Family Fun Fridays in the backyard. Each week there will be a bounce inflatable plus arts and crafts.   It’s Travers Week ending with the running of the Traver Stakes on Saturday – Saratoga’s most anticipated event! Running of the $1 Million Travers, 1 1/4 mile run of 3 year olds. First post time is 11:35am; gates open at 7am; The Travers Day undercard will include Grade 1 Foxwood’s Kings Bishop, the Grade 1 Test and the Grade 2 Ballston Spa..  More info at NYRA – Saratoga

There is lots more music and entertainment  just a short walk from the Georgian in the Bandstand at  Shepard Park.  Coming up this week is the 39th annual Lake George Family Festival -Fun for the entire family. Games, rides and live music.  Entertainment Children’s, Midway Rides, Music 6PM every night.  Live Music Wed. 7:30PM Ramblin’ Jug Stompers.  This band carries on the great tradition of American String band music while winking directly at the classic jug bands of the 1960′s!   Lake George Arts Project.

There will be FREE admission at the track for fans who wear pink!  Recieve a pink bracelet when you make a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and enjoy a the Sizzling Hot Pink Saratoga Hat Luncheon in the At Rail Pavilion. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday – The Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama – at the Wild West Ranch on Rt. 9 a couple of miles south of the Village.  This was a big success last Summer and this year there will be performances July 27 to August 18.  Visit their website for additional information about tickets and times.

Six Flags Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom – This week August 6-12 is Heroes Week.  Free admission to the park will be offered to military personnel, teachers, police & corrections officers, fire departments, nurses & EMS, just show occupational ID at main gate.  Visit the Great Escape Website
