Summer is Here!

Summer in Lake George! The real start of Summer is July 4th weekend and it is looking like a great weather weekend shaping up with Sunny skies and high temperatures in the 80’s. The Georgian Resort still has availability for selected dates in early July. Call us for Reservation Information 518-668-5401 or 800-LAKE-GEORGE or email us at email@example.com
Some important attractions, activities and events to make plans for include of course Boat Cruises On Lake George – Lake George Steamboat Company and Shoreline Cruises have many cruises including lunch and dinner cruises. This coming weekend has two fireworks nights – Saturday, July 2nd and Monday July 4th. These are great fireworks shows and it just so happens our Patio is the perfect spot to take it all in. We have live music all weekend – see our entertainment schedule for times and artists.
Summer fun in Lake George includes fun in and on the water! Swimming in Lake George – the water temperature is now around +70F – hop in right off The Georgian Beach, or stroll to Shepard Park Beach – a 10 minute walk on Canada Street, or visit The Million Dollar Beach on Beach Road (need it a little warmer – the Georgian Pool is +76F!). For recreation on the water – The Georgian rents kayaks and pedal boats for use off our beach. Additional kayak rentals and new SUP (stand up paddle boards) are available at Lake George Kayak Co. in Bolton Landing. Motor boat rentals are available at many of the local marinas – try Lake George Boat Rentals right in the village a short walk from the Georgian. Have your own boat – launch and parking available at Dunam’s Bay Marina
Summer is also high season for the Six Flags Great Escape Amusement Park. Discount tickets are available for Georgian guests at the front desk. ($31/person). Fireworks show on Friday evening at the Park.
Need more fun? Check out our Hiking page and our Adventure and Whitewater Rafting Page for more outdoor thrills! FYI – the water levels are still quite high for Summer Rafting on The Upper Hudson River – it should be great this weekend! If you want to stay dry but still get your adrenalin fix – try The Adirondack Extreme Ropes Course in Bolton Landing – just 10 miles from the Georgian.
Speaking of thrills – our very own chef Michael Cirelli will be featured on WNYT Channel 13 on the Let’s Eat segment of the News on Saturday, July 2nd at 9AM. You can watch a clip of the show when available at the WNYT website.
Check out the New Georgian Video Showcase – now showing on our local LOOK TV (Ch.8)
