The Georgian Lakeside Resort is always looking for talented customer service oriented employees in most areas of the resort.  For the 2021 Spring, Summer and Fall we have the following positions available:

Beach Attendant

Beach Attendants must understand all policies and regulations of the beach and be able to explain them clearly to the resort guests. They explain rental time periods, are responsible for all rentals of watercraft, and must maintain the beach area and their station in a neat and orderly manner. Beach attendants are responsible for watercraft rentals for resort guests. Attendants usually handle cash and charges, are responsible for tracking sales,  balancing their cash drawer at shift’s end, and putting it in a safe. Throughout the work day, beach attendants keep the beach or their specific area clean. They may empty trash cans several times during their shift, pick up loose trash and sweep walkways to keep them free of debris. They also keep equipment neat and in one place, stacking chairs and lounges, replacing umbrellas and straightening tables. Beach attendants may weed flower beds and water plants, paint and make minor repairs to structures to keep the area in good condition. Beach attendants are always alert to emergencies, whether those of a first-aid nature or a major emergency requiring a call to 911 for emergency services. They know where the first-aid kit is kept. Training will be provided and is perfect for an individual who has knowledge of the lake, watercraft usage and maintains a responsible and friendly approach to the position.

Pool Attendant

Pool Attendants are responsible for making each guest aware of the resort pool rules and enforcing these rules.  A big part of the Pool Attendant’s job is to maintain the aesthetic of the pool area. This involves opening umbrellas , aligning deck chairs and other similar tasks that require a keen attention to detail.  Pool Attendants call upon their observational skills to maintain a safe recreational environment. They have to always be paying attention to interactions between guests to ensure no incidents arise. Grounds Team Member / Preventative Maintenance Assistant

The Groundskeeper-Preventative Maintenance Worker performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of grounds and landscapes which includes the operation of electrically-powered and gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines, and the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping. The Groundskeeper also performs maintenance on groundskeeping equipment and tools, and makes minor repairs (within demonstrated capability) as directed. The Groundskeeper/Preventative Maintenance Worker changes light bulbs, paints walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment, makes minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, delivers supplies, materials, and equipment as needed. They may weed flower beds and water plants, paint and make minor repairs to structures to keep the area in good condition.  Team members are always alert to emergencies, whether those of a first-aid nature or a major emergency requiring a call to 911 for emergency services. They know where the first-aid kit is kept.

Housekeeping Assistant

You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Clean and stock restrooms
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Assist guests when necessary
  • Keep linen room stocked
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Work well unsupervised.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.

Laundry Runners

The Laundry Runner’s specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality:
  • Ensure removal and appropriate disposition of guest room trays, dinner, glass and silverware to the service landing area
  • Clean and vacuum exterior entry and hallways
  • Notifies supervisor promptly of any special guest room or suite issues including reporting of any maintenance needs
  • Promptly handles guest complaints or requests and refers to supervisor if unable to handle
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all back-of-house areas and customer areas
  • Maintain hotel corridors and service landings daily, by vacuuming, spot cleaning and reporting any damaged areas
  • Assist Room Attendants by stripping check out rooms in adherence to housekeeping policy
  • Removes all soiled linen from guest rooms, hallways, and service landings
  • Stocks housekeeping closets and maintains the organization of each floor’s closest
  • Provide information and service to guests, on request, while exhibiting a friendly behavior
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to manager, including all furniture, fittings and equipment
  • Complete all periodical tasks and special projects, such as flipping mattresses, cleaning curtains, etc.
  • Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests, to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
  • Follows all safety regulations when handling cleaning supplies or bodily fluids as outlined during company trainings
  • Housekeeping Assistants are always alert to emergencies, whether those of a first-aid nature or a major emergency requiring a call to 911 for emergency services. They know where the first-aid kit is kept.

Laundry Room Assistant

– Sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens and other textile items
– Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
– Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents
– Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment
– Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times
– Laundry Room Assistants are always alert to emergencies, whether those of a first-aid nature or a major emergency – requiring a call to 911 for emergency services. They know where the first-aid kit is kept.
