So it’s Raining!

Many attractions and activities do go rain or shine.  Check with the operator for suggestions.  The lake cruises are all with covered deck boats and they operate rain or shine.  Also an activity like whitewater rafting and tubing trips do go rain or shine (no thunderstorms) – and what the heck – you’re going to get wet anyway!  The Lake George area has many indoor arcades, games and fun!  The Fun Spot, just past The Great Escape has plenty of indoor games and kids fun.  Also Lanes and Games on Canada St near the Holiday Inn – bowling, games and lazar tag!  More Indoor Attractions:  The Hyde Collection (art museum) |  The Chapman Museum  | The Adirondack Museum  |  The Wild Center ( a bit of a drive, but well worth it).  |  World Awareness Children’s Museum, Glens Falls, NY.  Glen Drive-In Theater (15 min. drive).  Regal Cinemas – Glens Falls.

Take A Drive! Fort Ticonderoga! Daily Events! Awesome! CLICK HERE!

Every year at Fort Ticonderoga is a new story!

Relive the defining moments in America’s history when nations fought to control a continent. Located within the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains and overlooking Vermont’s picturesque Green Mountains, Fort Ticonderoga guards the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George. The French and their native allies failed to conquer this region during the French & Indian War. And a generation later, the British failed during the Revolutionary War. In the end, Americans controlled Lake Champlain, and therefore controlled the continent.

Each day in July and August, the Fife and Drum Corps play songs containing important information, known as “duty tunes.” From reveille in the morning to tattoo at night, or sounding of the alarm and calling to arms, the Fifes and Drums regulate days at the fort today.
