Gypsy Swing in the spirit of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli
Hot Club of Saratoga, Saratoga/Capital Region’s premier gypsy swing ensemble, plays a repertoire that reflects the spirit and style originated by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in The Quintet of the Hot Club of France most prominent in the 1930’s and kept alive through a long line of gypsy jazz artists since that time. The driving rhythms under dynamic soloing give the music a life and vibrancy sure to bring a smile and often an irresistible desire to move.

TWO WARS. FIVE BATTLES. ONE FORT!
Every year at Fort Ticonderoga is a new story!

Relive the defining moments in America’s history when nations fought to control a continent. Located within the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains and overlooking Vermont’s picturesque Green Mountains, Fort Ticonderoga guards the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George. The French and their native allies failed to conquer this region during the French & Indian War. And a generation later, the British failed during the Revolutionary War. In the end, Americans controlled Lake Champlain, and therefore controlled the continent.

Don’t miss the King’s Garden and the Heroic Corn Maze!  Both included with General admission

Each day in July and August, the Fife and Drum Corps play songs containing important information, known as “duty tunes.” From reveille in the morning to tattoo at night, or sounding of the alarm and calling to arms, the Fifes and Drums regulate days at the fort today.
